Meet The MPS Crew: Cyle Rudolph
Meet Cyle, Lighting Tech Assistant at MPS Dallas! When he’s not repairing ballasts or replacing bulbs, he’s studying engineering and competing in bodybuilding shows. Cyle is always flexin’ something, whether it be his muscles, his brains, or his technical know-how.
1. How did you get your start with MPS and how long have you been with the company?
My career for MPS started when I realized I needed to fulfill my desire to work closer with technology. Previously I worked for Genghis Grill as an assistant manager. The job wasn’t difficult at all, but it wasn’t something that I wanted to do and far from what I am going to school for (engineering). I felt like I was wasting my time doing something that I didn’t love. So I began searching for a career closer to my field and found this position as a lighting technician at MPS on indeed.com. Gill called me on November 20th and offered me the job, and I couldn’t refuse. I saw this as a lifetime opportunity. I’ve been with the company for a little over a month now, and I love it here!
2. When you’re not at MPS, where can we find you? i.e. How do you recharge?
In my spare time I compete in bodybuilding shows as a men’s physique competitor, which is quite different from an actual bodybuilder but still requires the same discipline. So if I’m not at work you will find me in the gym or stuffing my face with every cheat meal I can get!
3. What’s your favorite piece of equipment to work with?
So far my favorite piece of equipment to work with is the ballast from ARRI. It’s great to learn on and requires special equipment like the oscilloscope which breaks down the frequency of the parts you’re measuring. I think it’s pretty neat!
4. If we were to hop onto your music playlist, what would we see you were listening to most recently?
I listen to everything! So it depends on the time of day you look at my playlist. In the morning during cardio I listen to a lot of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and then at night during my lifts I listen to a mix of EDM and rap music.
5. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could have any superpower it would be to have all of the superpowers. I’m too greedy and indecisive to just choose one.
In need of lighting repair? Cyle can fix that. Give us a call at 214-630-1655 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d be happy to help!
