Rooster Teeth is a long time client as well as long time friends of ours! One of the projects they are currently working on is a web series titled “Day 5“.

“Day 5 is the first dramatic series from Rooster Teeth Productions, set in the immediate aftermath of a fatal sleep epidemic. After a fortuitous drug bender saves his life, addict Jake (Jesse C. Boyd) ventures out into the quiet streets… unaware that most of the world already died in their beds. Now, battling sleepless fatigue and encroaching delirium, Jake teams with a scrappy teenager (Walker Satterwhite), overnight doctor (Stephanie Drapeau) and red-eye pilot (Davi Jay) to search for answers… and just maybe find a way to sleep again. For Season 2, MPS Camera & Lighting Austin is providing lenses and camera accessories, including Preston FIZ-3 for wireless lens control and Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 dual-receiver systems for wireless video and wireless handheld director’s monitor.

For lensing, cinematographer Lee Phelan chose the award-winning Cooke Anamorphic Primes, which are especially well balanced for astigmatism and corrected for lateral and longitudinal aberrations over the entire image area. Known for the quintessential “Cooke Look” and 2:1 oval bokeh for out of focus highlights, the Cooke Anamorphic primes are equipped with the next generation of /i Squared Technology for lens metadata capture, and offer superb optical and mechanical performance. Distortion, veiling glare, flares, and all aberrations are controlled at all apertures over the whole field of view.
