MPS Studios - Dedicated to the Community
Continuing its commitment to the local production community, MPS Studios recently provided support to the White Bridle Humane Society.

The White Bridle Humane Society is a non-profit organization, created to tend to the special needs of otherwise abandoned horses. Brook Boleyn, President of the White Bridle Humane Society and local costume designer, produced the video which took place at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. Using a Panasonic HVX-200 camera supplied by MPS Studios, the crew recorded racehorses at the stable working out for their upcoming races. “Because of the generous crew- all donating their time- and the support of MPS Studios and Lucid Post, our shoot was tremendously successful,” said Boleyn.

Video of White Bridle Humane Society board members Boleyn, Sheree J. Wilson (Vice President), Kathleen Olsen (VP of Operations), and others was taken on the turf track at Lone Star Park with their featured horse, Next Step, a 6-year-old thoroughbred. Next Step retired from racing in May after suffering a knee injury. While on the track, footage of scheduled races was also captured, showing the racehorses and the importance of keeping them healthy.

“Brook, the other board members and everyone involved with the White Bridle Humane Society are doing such a noble thing by rescuing horses that are in desperate need of love and care; Matt Aines, who did all of the camera work, and I were thrilled to be a part of creating of this amazing video,” said Cassie Smith, Marketing Assistant at MPS Studios and  Production Coordinator on the White Bridle project.

“The experience with MPS Studios and Lucid Post on the White Bridle Humane Society shoot was excellent,” said Boleyn. “Because of their involvement, we shot some interesting, documentary style footage as we moved from location to location at Lone Star Park on one of the last racing days of the thoroughbred season at the track.”
Lucid Post assisted with media capture to provide better editing opportunities for the final outcome. “The video will be combined with photos from a still photo shoot that we did the same week at Lone Star Park, and we hope to post it on our website sometime in mid September – it will act as the main piece in our fundraising campaigns, so this video is very important to our organization,” said Boleyn.
